Aidan was born on the 4th of October 1993 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. His mother, Connie, is American and his father, Brian, is Irish making Aidan an Irish-American. He spent his first few years in Massachusetts but when he was 3½ years his family relocated to his father's birthplace of Galway, Ireland where Aidan spent the next 7 years. It was during this time that Aidan made his acting debut at the Town Hall Theatre starring as the character Bill Sykes in a stage production of Oliver.
In 2004, when Aidan was 11 years his family moved back to the USA and settled in San Diego, California. Less than a year later Aidan and his mother had moved to Hollywood and were working with a famous dialect coach to improve his American accent and it was not long before he was cast in his first movie role playing a young British boy named Simon McAllister in the film, The TV Set. Almost as soon as he had finished working on The TV Set he secured the lead role of Nate Gibbs in the award-winning feature film Simple Things. He was awarded with the "Best Child Actor in a Supporting Role" at the 2007 International Family Film Festival in Los Angeles, California.
Aidan is currently starring alongside Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver, as Sam Malloy in the new FX series, The Riches which is about an Irish family of travelling con artists who through a set of unusual yet tragic circumstances assume the idenitities of a wealthy American family, the Riches. What initially seems to be the American dream quickly turns into the most challenging and twisted scam they have ever pulled. Sam is the youngest of the three Malloy children and is a quiet, emotional boy who enjoys dressing in his sister's hand-me-downs.
